The standout dishes include the rag pudding, which many patrons rave about for its unique flavor profile. The generous portions of fish and chips are also a hit, with the batter praised for its crispiness and the chips for their perfect texture. The atmosphere is frequently highlighted, as the friendly staff and welcoming environment make each visit enjoyable. Customers appreciate the convenience of takeaway and delivery options, and the affordable pricing further enhances the appeal. Many visitors also love the café vibe, making it an ideal spot for a quick lunch or a hearty dinner.

Most Disliked

Some visitors have mentioned issues with consistency; notably, complaints have surfaced about the temperature of the food and size of the fish portions not meeting expectations. A few reviewers noted that certain items, like the peas, could be improved for freshness and taste. A couple of experiences with slow service during peak hours have detracted from the overall positive experience. Additionally, while the prices are generally seen as a bargain, some customers felt that particular meals didn't offer sufficient value for the money spent.

We turned up for fish and chips in the cafe. The staff are very polite and chatty and took our order plus coffee and tea. The fish and chips were outstanding. A generous portion for a regular fish, chips and peas. Extremely good crispy batter and very good chips . A very easy 5 stars .😋
